Mr Phil Steward

Currently I am a Director/Consultant, of a H&S Consultancy based in Suffolk. An enthusiastic active trainer and consultant offering services to corporate organisations and small and medium size businesses. Assisting and advising a diverse range customers including manufacturing and service companies, production, engineering, waste management, leisure, education, facilities management, and construction. Working with customers both our own company and via associated local companies over the past five years.

Previously I was employed as Health Safety and Environment Manager reporting to MD of a national facilities management company servicing the BT estate. I was heavily involved with the development and delivery of HS&E policy, safety management systems and specific arrangements for a new multi skilled and multi site company. I provided professional, strategic and practical advice to client and company directors working closely with delivery managers and their teams in a broad and customer driven environment covering East Anglia, East and West Midlands and Wales. I also created and delivered in house training packages in co-operation with our HR training dept. I was responsible for the direct and matrix management of specialist teams involved in Health and Safety, Fire safety, Gas Safe, water, roof and fire risk assessment, statutory inspections and environmental matters relating to BT and Facilities.

I have had wide and practical experience in various aspects of industry and commerce, during this time I have made three career moves and achieved academic qualifications and wide experience for each discipline. I have enjoyed each opportunity, learning and developing skills along the way. During my career I have been particularly fortunate to have worked with some wonderful people and I have thoroughly enjoyed their professionalism, humour and support.
